Use the Norton Removal Tool to remove a failed installation or a damaged Norton product.
After you run the Norton Removal Tool and restart the computer, you will be reinstalling your Norton product from your Norton Management. Make sure that you have access to your Norton Management. If you need help accessing Norton Management, click here.
If you have received the Norton product from your service provider, you need to download it again from your service provider.
* Norton Removal Tool works only on Windows. You cannot use it on Mac OS X. To uninstall a Norton product on your Mac, read Uninstalling your Norton product for Mac.*
* The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security, Norton 360, and Norton SystemWorks from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFax, back up those databases before you proceed. *
1. Download the Norton Removal Tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop.
2. On the Windows desktop, double-click the Norton Removal Tool icon.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Restart your computer.
